Privacy Policy.

This policy explains what personal information Don'tSettle collects through dontsettle.ai, how and why we use it, who we share it with, and the rights and choices you have. We've written it to reflect what the Site actually does — not to bury you in boilerplate.

01 · Who we are

This website, dontsettle.ai (the “Site”), is operated by Don'tSettle LLC, a limited liability company registered in Wyoming, United States (“Don'tSettle,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). For the personal information we collect through this Site, Don'tSettle is the data controller.

If you have any question about this policy or your personal information, contact us at hello@dontsettle.ai.

02 · What this policy covers

This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit the Site or use its forms and tools, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to the Site only. Work we perform for clients under a separate agreement is governed by that agreement and any data-processing terms in it, not this policy.

03 · Information we collect

Information you give us

We collect the information you choose to provide through the Site, including:

  • Contact / “Let's talk” form: your name, email address, the type of work you're interested in, and the description of your product or project that you enter.
  • Aria (our AI product consultant): the answers you provide during the guided conversation — for example, the problem you're solving, your users, and your product idea — and the email address you give so we can send you the resulting brief.
  • Field Notes newsletter: your email address.
  • The Lab — product nominations: the product you nominate and any contact details you choose to include.
  • Startup World Cup — application to pitch: company name, website, country of incorporation, a one-line company description, your full name, email, phone / WhatsApp number, job title, how you heard about the event, and the pitch, product, and team details you submit.
  • Startup World Cup — registration to attend: your full name, email, role, company or organization, country, and your consent to receive event communications.
  • Booking a call: when you book a strategy call we use Google Calendar's scheduling service, which collects your name, email, and the time you select.
  • Email and other correspondence: the content of messages you send to our addresses (such as hello@, tatiana@, or press@dontsettle.ai).

Information we collect automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our analytics provider automatically collect limited technical and usage information — such as your IP address, device and browser type, approximate (city-level) location, the pages you view, and how you arrived at the Site — using cookies and similar technologies. We also use the IP address from your request, on our server, to estimate your country so we can display a cookie-consent banner where it is legally required (for example, to visitors in the EEA and UK). This country check is done in real time and isn't used to identify you. See our Cookie Policy for details.

04 · How and why we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • respond to your enquiries and provide the information or services you ask for;
  • generate and send your Aria brief and, where relevant, follow up about it;
  • send the Field Notes newsletter, where you've asked to receive it;
  • review and process Startup World Cup applications and registrations, select finalists, and run the event;
  • operate, secure, measure, and improve the Site;
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Legal bases (for visitors in the EEA and UK). We rely on: your consent (for the newsletter, analytics cookies where required, and Startup World Cup communications); our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries, running the Site, and promoting our work; steps taken at your request before entering into a contract; and compliance with a legal obligation. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

05 · Aria and automated processing

Aria is powered by third-party AI model providers that process your conversation in order to generate a brief. Aria does not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you, and a person reviews leads that come through it. Please don't enter sensitive personal information or confidential third-party material into Aria or any form on the Site.

06 · Who we share information with

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only as needed with:

  • Service providers who run the Site for us, including Supabase (database and storage of form submissions), Resend (sending email), Google (Calendar scheduling, cloud storage, and analytics), our website hosting platform, and the AI model providers that power Aria. These providers process information on our behalf under contract.
  • Startup World Cup partners. If you apply to pitch or register to attend, we share your submission with Pegasus Tech Ventures and the regional jury / organizing panel to review applications, select finalists, and run the event, as described where you submit the form.
  • Professional advisers, authorities, or acquirers where required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer.
07 · International data transfers

We are based in the United States, and several of our providers and partners (including Pegasus Tech Ventures) are located in the U.S. and other countries. If you are in the EEA, the UK, Uzbekistan, or elsewhere, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries whose data-protection laws differ from your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards — such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses — for these transfers. Contact us for more information.

08 · How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, then delete or anonymize it. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe; enquiry, Aria, and lead data are kept while we follow up and for a reasonable period afterward; Startup World Cup data is kept for the event cycle and a reasonable period after, unless a longer period is required by law.

09 · Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you, and receive a copy;
  • correct inaccurate information, or complete incomplete information;
  • delete your information;
  • restrict or object to certain processing, including direct marketing;
  • receive your information in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior processing.

EEA / UK. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority. California and other U.S. states. You may have rights to know, delete, and correct your information and to opt out of its “sale” or “sharing” — we do not sell personal information — and we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

To exercise any right, email hello@dontsettle.ai. We may need to verify your identity, and we'll respond within the time the law requires.

10 · Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential Site functions and, with your consent where required, for analytics (Google Analytics). To decide whether a consent banner must be shown, we detect your approximate country from your IP address — so the banner appears for visitors in regions that require it, such as the EEA and UK. You can manage your choices at any time — see our Cookie Policy.

11 · Children's privacy

The Site is intended for businesses and professionals and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12 · Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13 · Third-party links

The Site links to other sites and services (for example, Pegasus Tech Ventures, ICT Week, LinkedIn, and our Google Calendar booking page). We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices; please review their own policies.

14 · Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the “last updated” date above and, for significant changes, provide a more prominent notice.

15 · How to contact us
